About Your Advisor

Who Is She?

Clara here. Who am I? Well, I’m a lifelong traveler, for one.

I was born in the idyllic city of Santa Barbara, California to a Portuguese dad and Brazilian mom. Since childhood, I’ve traveled more or less once a year to either country (sometimes both), so naturally, I have lots of expertise in Portugal and Brazil. My parents also loved traveling in general, so they toted me around to various other destinations which led me to develop my own passion for traveling and discovering new places.

Some of my most memorable trips were: Paris with my dad where we stumbled upon a front row view of the Tour de France in front of the Jardin des Tuileries, Buenos Aires with my mom and grandma where we ate like carnivores and I sipped on countless Submarinos, and my first trip to Italy where my mom and I visited 5+ cities by train including the tiny town of San Marco dei Cavoti where my great-grandfather was born.

About Advising

I am proud to be an affiliate of Fora Travel, a modern agency that is thoughtfully designed, tech-driven, and featured as a travel industry innovator in Condé Nast Traveler, Fast Company, Travel + Leisure, and more.

Working with Fora grants me and my clients access to exclusive perks at over 4,500 (and growing) travel suppliers. We partner with top industry players like Virtuoso, Rosewood Elite, Four Seasons, Design Hotels, Virgin Voyages, and Viking Cruises among many others.

Even if the hotel you book is not an official partner of Fora, booking with a travel advisor still has its benefits. Booking with advisors holds weight in the industry and signals to hotels and other travel suppliers that you are a high-value customer. Many clients receive “unofficial” perks because of this and advisors like my self will always advocate for you to receive VIP treatment, wherever you stay.

My Travel Philosophy

I am a self-described well-researched planner and intentional wanderer. What that means: I will meticulously analyze and procure the best fit for my clients. That being said, there is nothing more magical than an unplanned stroll through the streets of Venice or happening upon a local vintage market in Mexico City.

I believe the perfect trip is a balance of curation and spontaneity.
